Peace Garden Volunteer Agreement

The garden is open for visitation and volunteering from sunrise to sunset.

Volunteer registration is required for each day you would like to volunteer.  The amount of volunteer activity is unrestricted and you may sign up any day/time the garden is open.  To sign up, click here.

All produce grown and harvested is designated for donation to the Peace Center food shelf.  The harvesting of produce for personal use is not allowed.

The Peace Garden and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church properties are a tobacco, alcohol, and drug-free environment.

Peace Garden boxes shall not be used for personal gardening.  You acknowldge you will not attempt to grow any plant unless directed by the Peace Garden team.

You acknowledge you will not add anything (ie – chemicals, fertilizers, plant boosters, pesticides, etc.)  to any part of the garden unless instructed by a member of the Peace Garden team.

You acknowledge you will not adjust the zone-controlled irrigation system unless instructed by a member of the Peace Garden team.

Shoes are required in the garden.  Gardening gloves are recommended, but not required.

You will ensure the gate is fully latched prior to your departure.

You will be respectful and courteous of other volunteers, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church staff and congregation members, and visitors.

You acknowledge the garden’s crushed concrete surface may be uneven and you will use caution when navigating through the garden, especially if you have mobility concerns.

You are volunteering at your own risk.  The New Prague Rotary Club, New Prague Rotary Foundation, and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church are not liable for any injuries sustained while volunteering.

You acknowledge that the Peace Garden has made every effort to be as accessible as possible, but makes no claims of being “ADA compliant.”

You acknowledge items belonging to the Peace Garden shall not be removed from the premises.

The New Prague Rotary Club, New Prague Rotary Foundation, and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church are not liable for your personal items. Please ensure you take all personal items with you when you leave.

You will be mindful and respectful of any church services that may be taking place while you are volunteering.

You acknowledge that the garden is new construction built by community volunteers and that you may encounter screws, stables, rough cut lumber, etc…

You agree to report any maintenance-related issues immediately to coordinator@peace-garden.org

If you are unable to make your Peace Garden volunteering slot, you acknowledge you will cancel your slot or email us at coordinator@peace-garden.org.  This is especially important if you’ve registered for a harvest day.
